Camping

Camping

This weekend the boys lead 14 Webelos through much of the requirements for the Webelos Outdoorsman badge. The Boy Scouts camped both Friday and Saturday night in Pedernales State Park. Friday night was pretty cold and the one Webelo who camped both nights got his Polar Bear badge for Friday night.

Over all the boys organized, fed, and taught the Webelos while the adult leadership did much of the same for the Webelo parents.

A good time was had by all.

Camping

The boys spent two nights at Enchanted Rock camping, doing their cooking requirements for Second Class, and hiking around.

Summer Camp

The boys headed back to Camp Frank Rand (which is changing its name to Gorham Scout Ranch) in New Mexico.

Lost Pines

We camped at Lost Pines and did an activity with Pack 59, which camped near by, as a recruiting effort with the Webelos. We taught the Webelos to make Turks Head rope slides for their neckerchiefs.

Pedernales Falls

We primitive camped in Pedernales Falls State Park. The boys pitched their own tents, and prepared their own food. A good time was had by all.

Pedernales Falls

The troop went camping with Pack 59 in Pedernales Falls. A fun time was had by all. See the Photos page for some photos from the camp out.

Webelos Woods

The troop camped over night and then the boys taught the Webelos about building fires while the adults talked to the parents about Troop 1.

Returned from Camp Frank Rand in Chimayo NM

Three of our troop and four adults spent the last week at Camp Frank Rand in Chimayo NM. All had a great time.
